Militants launched 16 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 16 attacks, using weapons banned under the Minsk agreements five times, on positions of Ukrainian troops in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas in last day.

“Over the past day, the enemy shelled Ukrainian positions outside Shchastia (23km north of Luhansk), Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk), Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk), Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk), Novoselivka Druha (23km north of Donetsk), Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk), Hranitne (57km south of Donetsk), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol) and Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol),” the JFO Headquarters press center reports.

The terrorists fired grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and small arms. The enemy used 82mm mortars and weapons on infantry fighting vehicle to shell Ukrainian troops near Vilne (70km south-west of Donetsk) and mortars – near Shchastia, Krymske and Staryi Aidar.

One Ukrainian soldier was wounded in last day.

Today, the illegal armed formations have already launched two attacks on positions of the Joint Forces outside Shumiv and Pivdenne, using 82mm and 120mm mortars.
