Ukrainian army among ten strongest in Europe - Business Insider

The report published on the website of the edition notes that the Ukrainian army is tenth in the ranking. According to analysts, Ukraine's defense budget is estimated at $4.88 billion. The Ukrainian army consists of 1.182 million military personnel, 2,214 combat tanks, 240 military aircraft, including 39 fighter jets, and 25 naval assets.

At the same time, the Russian army was called the most powerful military in Europe. The top three also includes France and the United Kingdom. Turkey is fourth, followed by Germany, Italy, Spain, Poland, and Greece.

Belgium is in the last, 25th position in the ranking.

Such factors as geography, logistical capabilities, natural resources, industrial capacity, diversity of weapons and assets, national development, and manpower were taken into account to compile the rating.
