Petro Tsygykal meets with Commander of Turkish Coast Guard

Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Colonel-General Petro Tsygykal has held a meeting with Commander of the Turkish Coast Guard, Rear Admiral Ahmet Kendir in Kyiv today, November 5, according to the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service.

"I am very pleased with the level of our cooperation. I am confident that cooperation between our departments will only strengthen," said Petro Tsygykal.

During the meeting, Petro Tsygykal and Ahmet Kendir discussed the situation in the region, risk assessment and ongoing operations in the context of combating illegal activities in the Black Sea Region. In addition, the parties also focused on the interaction of the Maritime Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the Turkish Coast Guard in conducting joint actions in the Black Sea area, as well as the prospects for further cooperation.
