The participation in the multinational exercises Trident Juncture 2018 gives Ukraine an opportunity to strengthen professionalism of the personnel and military potential.

“The multinational exercises Trident Juncture 2018 have started in Norway with the participation of NATO member countries and partners, including Ukraine. These powerful exercises aim to confirm the Alliance’s readiness to respond to new types of threats, in particular hybrid war and propaganda,” President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko posted on Facebook.

According to him, everyone understands that Ukraine is on the guard of European security as the neighboring aggressor country threatens not only Ukraine.

“We will continue to jointly strengthen the professionalism of our personnel and our military potential,” the Head of State emphasized.

As reported, the multinational NATO-led Trident Juncture exercise will take place in Norway, the Baltic Sea and the North Atlantic, including Iceland and the airspace of Finland and Sweden, from October 25 to November 7. About 50,000 soldiers will take part in the maneuvers.
