Militants launched nine attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

The situation in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas remained absolutely controlled by Ukraine’s JFO units in last day.

“The enemy reduced the number of attacks but again used the weapons banned under the Minsk agreements. Russian-backed militants launched nine attacks on positions of Ukrainian troops, using 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and small arms,” the JFO Headquarters reports.

 Over the past day, the enemy shelled Ukrainian positions outside Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol), Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk), Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk) and Starohnativka (52km south of Donetsk),” the JFO Headquarters press center reports.

Russian-occupation troops fired 82mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms on Ukrainian strongholds outside Avdiivka. JFO positions near Pavlopol and Vodiane came under automatic and mounted grenade launcher and small arms fire.

One Ukrainian serviceman was killed in last day.
