Poroshenko wishes success to Ukrainian team at Invictus Games in Sydney

 “You deserve to represent our country at the Invictus Games 2018 in Australia. You gained victory with your insistence, perseverance, faith in yourself and, most importantly, faith in Ukraine. You, the participants in the anti-terrorist operation [in eastern Ukraine], the invincible soldiers of the Ukrainian army, demonstrated your character, strength, power and unbroken Ukrainian spirit in the fight against the Russian aggressor. We are proud of you," Poroshenko noted, the press service of the Head of State reports.

According to him, the national team will have the opportunity to show the whole world the valiance of the unconquered Ukrainians in six disciplines.

“The aggressor will get another indisputable proof of our invincibility. I am sure you will show good results at the Invictus Games 2018 in Australia. I wish you good health, confidence and victories. Glory to Ukraine!” the President said.

The Invictus Games is the only international sporting event for wounded, injured and sick Servicemen and women, created by Britain's Prince Harry, in which former armed services personnel and their associated veterans take part in sports including wheelchair basketball, sitting volleyball, and indoor rowing. The Invictus Games use the power of sport to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation and generate a wider understanding and respect for wounded, injured and sick servicepersons.

The Invictus Games 2018 will be held in Sydney on October 20-27.
