The delegation of the Commander of the Naval Forces of the Turkish Republic met with the representatives of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during their visit to Ukraine.

"A meeting of Admiral Ihor Voronchenko, the Commander of the Ukrainian Navy, and Admiral Adnan Ozbal, the Commander of the Turkish Navy, was held within the framework of the visit. The leaders discussed security issues in the Black Sea region, identified the priority areas for military cooperation in the naval field... Admiral Voronchenko thanked his Turkish counterpart for support and informed the delegation about the prospects for the Ukrainian Navy development," the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted on Facebook.

The General Staff notes that the meeting was aimed at maintaining a military dialogue, discussing topical issues of regional security, developing cooperation in the Black Sea region and identifying priority areas for bilateral military cooperation.

The delegation of the Commander of the Turkish Naval Forces plans to visit the Hetman Sahaidachny frigate, small armoured artillery boats and the Institute of Naval Forces at the National University "Odesa Maritime Academy".
