Hug urges parties to fulfil their ceasefire commitments in Donbas

Principal Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine Alexander Hug calls on the parties to honour their commitments on ceasefire regime in Donbas.

"Since 00:01 SMM registered more than 70 ceasefire violations. Sides need to honour their recommitment. Firing has to stop now. To protect Ukrainians on both sides of the contact line,” Hug wrote on Twitter.

As reported, on August 22, in Minsk, at a meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group on the settlement of the conflict in Donbas, the parties agreed on a new ceasefire regime. The so-called "school ceasefire" has begun on August 29.
