Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze discussed this at a meeting with the Deputy Leader of the House of Lords and Minister of State for Defence of Britain, Earl Howe (Frederick Richard Penn Curzon), the Governmental portal reports.
"We believe that Ukrainian-British military and technical cooperation, especially in the production of high-tech weapons, can have a significant potential," Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze said, noting that for this Ukraine needs to continue reforming the defense industry.
In addition, the parties noted that Ukraine's cooperation with NATO remained the cornerstone of Ukraine's national security. Earl Howe expressed confidence that the results of the last NATO summit in the context of Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic aspirations were very positive for Ukraine and its allies.
The Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister thanked Earl Howe for the fact that a political and military dialogue between the two countries remained reliable, for helping Ukraine in defense planning, for developing the combat capabilities of the Armed Forces and training the Ukrainian soldiers, as well as the participation of British paratroopers in the military parade on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of Ukraine's independence.
