Gas supply in Avdiivka to be resumed by beginning of heating season

The gas supply in the town of Avdiivka, Donetsk region, which was stopped already more than a year ago due to militant actions, will be resumed by the beginning of the heating season.

Chairman of Donetsk Regional Military and Civil Administration Oleksandr Kuts said this at a meeting on July 31, the press service of the Donetsk Regional Administration reported.

"As of today, the project is in the final stage. After the full completion of works and obtaining an appropriate permission from the State Architectural and Construction Inspectorate of Ukraine, the object will be put into operation by the beginning of the heating season 2018-2019," he said, commenting on the resumption of gas supply in Avdiivka.

As reported, in June 2017, the gas pipeline near Avdiivka in Donetsk region was damaged during the shelling by the militants, as a result about 22,000 local residents were left without gas supply.
