Pentagon orders Javelin worth $300 million for export, in particular, to Ukraine

The Pentagon has signed a contract with the Raytheon-Lockheed Martin Javelin JV for the production of Javelin anti-tank missile systems worth more than $307.5 million for sale abroad, in particular, to Ukraine.

"Raytheon-Lockheed Martin Javelin JV, Tucson, Arizona, was awarded a $307,535,950 modification (P00107) to Foreign Military Sales (Australia, Estonia, Lithuania, Turkey, Taiwan and Ukraine) contract W31P4Q-13-C-0129 for Javelin Weapon System full-rate production," the U.S. Department of Defense informed in the press release.

The work will be performed in Tucson, Arizona, with an estimated completion date of August 31, 2021. 

As reported, the United States decided to allocate $200 million to Kyiv to enhance its security and defense in the 2018 fiscal year.
