Privatization of state-owned defense enterprises could be legitimized in Ukraine

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov has stated that a possibility of privatization of state-owned defense enterprises could be approved at the legislative level.
"We, the Cabinet of Ministers, the Verkhovna Rada and, in particular, the relevant parliamentary committees actively discuss lifting any restrictions on privatization of state-owned defense enterprises at the legislative level," Turchynov told a briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
In addition, he said, it is also planned to allow foreign investors entering Ukrainian enterprises of military-industrial complex.
At the same time, the NSDC secretary recalled that the effective legislation strictly restricted the privatization of defense enterprises.
