Ukraine hopes for further assistance from the countries of the Alliance after the deliveries of American Javelin anti-tank missiles.

Defense Minister of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak said this on the 112 Channel after ceremonial events on the occasion of the Day of Medical Worker.

"During the meetings in Brussels, I had a conversation, in particular, with the U.S. Secretary. All our partners, including the United States, confirmed further assistance to Ukraine to strengthen the defense capacity of our country," Poltorak said.

He also noted, answering journalists' question, that, despite holding the World Cup, Russia can start aggression against Ukraine. Poltorak assured that the Ukrainian side was monitoring the situation.

As Ukrinform reported, Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak visited the NATO Headquarters in Brussels on June 7.

He met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, as well as with ministers from the countries of the Alliance.
