Main task of Joint Forces Operation in eastern Ukraine defined

The main task of the Joint Forces Operation is to exercise total control over the situation and to adequately respond to provocations from the Russian-occupation forces.
Chief of the General Staff – Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko said this during a working visit to the area of responsibility of the joint forces, the press service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
"The main task, which was defined by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the commands of groups, brigades and military units, is to exercise total control over the situation in the area of responsibility and to adequately respond to provocations from the Russian-occupation forces," the report says.
