Klimkin, Maas arrive in Shyrokyne

Ukrainian and German Foreign Ministers Pavlo Klimkin and Heiko Maas have arrived in the frontline village of Shyrokyne in Donetsk region, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has reported on Twitter.
"Pavlo Klimkin and his German counterpart, Heiko Maas, are visiting Shyrokyne - the only place in the area controlled by the Ukrainian government where residents did not return after evacuation," the report says.
Later, Klimkin wrote on Twitter that the Ukrainian and German foreign ministers had not managed to get to Shyrokyne.
"Heiko Maas and I did not succeed in getting to Shyrokyne, but we saw that it had been completely destroyed by Russia and its mercenaries," Klimkin wrote.
Maas is on a working visit to Ukraine. He visits Ukraine for the first time as German foreign minister.
