Militants violated ceasefire in eastern Ukraine 53 times in last day

"In Luhansk direction, the enemy scaled up its activities near Troitske (69km west of Luhansk). In Donetsk direction, the units of the joint forces actively defended their positions outside Zaitseve (67km north-north-east of Donetsk), Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk), Novoluhanske (53km north-east of Donetsk), Mayorske (45km north of Donetsk), Shumy (50km north of Donetsk), Zalizne (39km north of Donetsk), Pivdenne (40km north-east of Donetsk), Novhorodske (34km north of Donetsk), Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), Novohnativka (40km south of Donetsk). In Mariupol direction, the armed hostilities did not abate near Chermalyk (31km north-east of Mariupol), Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk) and Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol)," the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports.

Over the past day, Russian-occupation troops, disregarding the Minsk agreements and the international humanitarian law, violated the ceasefire 53 times, using 122mm artillery, 120mm and 82mm mortars in 30 cases. The units of the joint forces gave an adequate response not allowing the invaders to oust Ukrainian defenders from the defensive positions.

Two Ukrainian defenders were killed and another nine soldiers were injured in fighting in last day.

According to intelligence, 15 militants from the Russian-terrorist forces were killed and 13 more were wounded.
