Militants launched 55 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

 “The intensive armed hostilities took place in Svitlodarsk, Horlivka, Donetsk and Mariupol directions. Russian-occupation forces violated the ceasefire regime 55 times, using the weapons banned under the Minsk agreements in 19 cases,” the press center of the Joint Forces Operation Headquarters reports.

Less tense situation was observed in Luhansk region, where intense fighting continued mainly on the "Svitlodarsk arc", outside Troitske (69km west of Luhansk) and Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk).

In Horlivka direction, the enemy tried to force out Ukrainian troops from their positions under the guise of mortar fire near Zaitseve (67km north-north-east of Donetsk), Shumy (50km north of Donetsk), Novhorodske (34km north of Donetsk),. At the same time, in violation of the international law, the invaders opened mortar fire on residential houses of Zaitseve at 5:00 on May 20.

The intensity of military operations near Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk), Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk) and Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk) in Donetsk direction did not abate.

In Mariupol direction, active fighting continued outside Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk) and Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol).

As reported, no casualties among Ukrainian troops were reported.
