Militants violated ceasefire 66 times in eastern Ukraine in last day

The situation in the Joint Force Operation area in Donbas remained tense over the past day.

“Russian-occupation forces violated the ceasefire regime 66 times, using mortars, artillery and BM-21 “Grad” multiple rocket launcher systems in 25 cases. About 21:00, the enemy fired Grad systems on Ukrainian positions near Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk),” the JFO Headquarters press center reports.

In Luhansk, the active military hostilities were ongoing outside Novozvanivka (70km west of Luhansk) and Troitske (69km west of Luhansk).

In Donetsk region, the enemy scaled up its activities near Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk), Svitlodarsk (55km north-west of Donetsk), Novoluhanske (53km north-east of Donetsk) and Mayorske (45km north of Donetsk). Fighting was ongoing near industrial area of Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk) and Opytne (11.5km north-west of Donetsk). In Mariupol direction, the enemy stepped up outside Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol) and Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol).

Two Ukrainian soldiers were killed and another four were wounded in fighting yesterday.
