Militants launched 21 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

As noted, during the past day, May 8, the situation in the JFO area remained difficult, the militants used heavy weapons more actively, especially artillery. The armed hostilities were particularly active in Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk), Svitlodarsk (55km north-west of Donetsk), Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk) and Mariupol directions.
"The enemy used weapons, prohibited under the Minsk agreements, 21 times. In particular, militants fired 152mm and 122 mm artillery and mortars outside Krymske, Popasna (90 km north-west of Luhansk), Troitske (69km west of Luhansk), Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk) and Zaitseve (67km north-north-east of Donetsk). The small arms were used in fighting near Avdiivka, Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), Butovka coal mine (11.4km north-west of Donetsk), Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol).
As the Headquarters noted, one Ukrainian soldier was killed and another four soldiers were wounded in enemy shelling.
On May 8, the Russian-occupation troops again used 152mm artillery and 120mm mortars to shell residential districts of Zaitseve and Loskutovka villages. The shells hit civilians’ houses and farm buildings.
According to intelligence, one militant was killed and another five were wounded.
