Ukraine should use Javelin anti-tank missile systems for its defense.
Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs A. Wess Mitchell said this at a briefing after his meeting with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko at the Presidential Administration, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"From the very beginning, we've clearly declared that Javelin is a defense weapon system, and it should be used by Ukraine for defense," Mitchell said.
As previously reported, the United States of America earlier confirmed the delivery of American Javelin anti-tank missile systems to Ukraine.
