Ukraine, India sign two contracts in defense sector

Ukraine signed two contracts with India in the scope of the international arms exhibition DefExpo India 2018, the Ukrainian Embassy in India reports.

“During the DefExpo India 2018, working meetings were held with India’s Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, as well as with India’s first deputy defense minister, deputy defense ministers, chief of three types of the Armed Forces of India, and heads of a number of leading state companies of India’s defense ministry. In addition, negotiations were held with ten foreign private companies. Following these meetings, the Ukrainian side signed two contracts and several memoranda of understanding,” reads the report.

The official Ukrainian delegation was headed by First Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleh Hladkovskyi and Director General of the State Enterprise Ukroboronprom Pavlo Bukin.

The DefExpo India 2018, the international arms exhibition, was held in Tamil Nadu, India on April 11-14.
