Portugal, Ukraine to implement joint logistics, medical support, coast guard projects

National Defense Minister of Portugal José Alberto de Azeredo Lopes said this during the joint press briefing with Defense Minister of Ukraine, Army General of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We intend to cooperate with Ukraine in specific projects on logistics, medical support, and coast guard," he said.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Poltorak highlighted the importance of accelerating the signing of agreements of cooperation between the two ministries. In particular, he pointed out that Portugal had a great experience in logistics planning and the cost guard. "We will cooperate on the issues related to conduct of search-and-rescue operations at sea. Cooperation in cyber security and exchange of experience is very important for us, and we will also continue cooperation in science and education in the higher education institutions of Ukraine and Portugal," Poltorak added.
