Militants launched 57 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

In Donetsk direction, terrorists fired 82mm mortars, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and weapons on infantry combat vehicles on Ukrainian strongholds near Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol). Illegal armed formations also opened fire from 82mm mortars on defenders of Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol) and used grenade launchers of different types and small arms outside Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk), Opytne (11.5km north-west of Donetsk), Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol). ATO troops near Kamyanka (62km south of Donetsk), Talakivka (20km north-west of Mariupol), Marinka (35km south-west of Donetsk), Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk) came under heavy machine gun fire. In addition, militants used small arms to shell Ukrainian positions near Shyrokyne, Pavlopol and Butovka coal mine (11.4km north-west of Donetsk), anti-tank guided missile – near Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk).

In Luhansk direction, Russian-backed militants shelled ATO troops near Zalizne (39km north of Donetsk), using grenade launchers and small arms. Ukrainian positions near Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk) came under heavy machine gun fire.

As a result of the enemy fire, two Ukrainian servicemen were wounded and another one was injured.
