Militants launched over 50 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

In Donetsk direction, terrorists fired prohibited 122mm artillery on Ukrainian positions in Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol) and 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and weapons on infantry combat vehicles – on Ukrainian strongholds outside Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol) and Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol). ATO troops near Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk) and Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk) came under 82mm mortar fire. Russian-backed militants also opened fire from grenade launchers of different systems on Ukrainian troops near Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk), Opytne (11.5km north-west of Donetsk), Kamyanka (62km south of Donetsk), Shyrokyne, Talakivka (20km north-west of Mariupol) and Pisky. In addition, the enemy fired heavy machine guns on Ukrainian strongholds outside Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), small arms – near Butovka coal mine (11.4km north-west of Donetsk), Novomykhailivka (28km south-west of Donetsk).

In Luhansk direction, terrorists launched attacks on Ukrainian troops near Katerynivka (64km west of Luhansk), using 82mm mortars and heavy machine guns. ATO troops also came under grenade launcher and heavy machine gun fire outside Shchastia (23km north of Luhansk).

No casualties were reported as a result of the enemy attacks, the Headquarters reports.
