EU High Representative Mogherini, Ukraine's Minister Chernysh discuss mine clearance in Donbas

Ukraine's Minister for Temporarily Occupied Territories Vadym Chernysh has discussed with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini the issue of mine clearance in Donbas and the work of the OSCE mission in the ATO zone.

"During the meeting, the minister thanked the European Union for providing humanitarian assistance to people affected by the conflict in eastern Ukraine. Vadym Chernysh and Federica Mogherini discussed the need for humanitarian demining in the east and the preparation of training programs for the residents of the territories along the contact line regarding safe behavior with explosive devices," the report reads.

The sides also agreed on the need for an information campaign aimed at the residents of the conflict zone and the efforts made by the Government of Ukraine and the international partners in order to help citizens affected by the conflict in eastern Ukraine.

As reported, on Monday, March 12, the EU High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, was on a working visit to Ukraine.
