Sweden willing to join operation UNIFIER to train Ukrainian troops

Ukrainian Defence Minister Stepan Poltorak stated this at a joint press conference with Swedish Defence Minister Peter Hultqvist in Kyiv on Monday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We have discussed the continuing cooperation in training of the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, particularly, the involvement of the armed forces of Sweden in the operation UNIFIER in the international peacekeeping center at the Yavoriv training ground in Lviv region," Poltorak said.

As the Swedish Defence Minister stressed, the possible involvement of representatives of the armed forces of Sweden in the training mission is very interesting, and this issue will be discussed with the partners, in particular, with the representatives of Canada, who participate in the operation UNIFIER.
