Ukraine, Sweden to develop new defense cooperation agreement – Poltorak

Ukraine and Sweden will develop a new agreement on the joint cooperation in defense sector.
Defense Minister of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak stated this at a joint briefing with Defense Minister of the Kingdom of Sweden, Peter Hultqvist, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"We have agreed on the need to develop a comprehensive agreement between the governments of Sweden and Ukraine, between the Defense Ministry of Ukraine and the Defense Ministry of Sweden on defense cooperation," Poltorak said.
According to the Ukrainian minister, the defense cooperation between Ukraine and Sweden is currently being built on the basis of the International Protocol signed in 2001.
The Ukrainian minister stressed that this protocol should also be revised.
