Militants launched seven attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched seven attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a village in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area in Donbas over the past day.

This is reported by the ATO Headquarters press center.

In Luhansk direction, illegal armed formations for over four hours fired mortars of different calibers, grenade launchers, anti-aircraft mounts and heavy machine guns on Ukrainian positions near Svitlodarsk (55km north-west of Donetsk) and shelled more than 200 mortars of different calibers. Terrorists opened fire from 120mm mortars outside Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk) and Troitske (69km west of Luhansk). ATO troops also came under 82mm mortar and grenade launcher fire near Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk).

In addition, Russian-backed militants shelled at least fifteen 120mm and 82mm mortars on the village of Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk). Since the bombardment occurred after dark, the consequences of the damage are still unknown. Now the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine check whether there are destructions of buildings and victims among the civilian population.

No ceasefire violations were recorded in Donetsk region.

As a result of the enemy shelling, one Ukrainian serviceman was wounded.
