Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s Spokesman for ATO issues Dmytro Hutsuliak said this at a briefing on Tuesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Unfortunately, one 29-year-old serviceman was killed yesterday. We express our condolences to the relatives and friends of our soldier who heroically defended Ukraine against Russian aggression," Hutsuliak said.
He also noted that as a result of the shelling of the positions of the Ukrainian military, one soldier was wounded, and another one was injured.
"In addition, two more Ukrainian servicemen were wounded when their vehicle was blown up by an unknown explosive device. They were immediately taken to a mobile hospital. The health condition of one of the servicemen was reported as difficult and of other defenders as satisfactory," he said.
According to him, Russian-backed militants again used weapons banned under the Minsk agreements. They fired 12 times at the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces over the past day.
