Militants launched 12 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched twelve attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area in Donbas over the past day. 

This is reported by the ATO Headquarters press center.

In Luhansk direction, illegal armed formations fired 82mm mortars on Ukrainian positions near Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk). ATO troops outside Hladosove (51km north-east of Donetsk), Novoluhanske (53km north-east of Donetsk) and Svitlodarsk (55km north-west of Donetsk) came under grenade launcher and heavy machine gun fire.

In Donetsk direction, militants used 82mm mortars, automatic grenade launchers and machine guns to shell Ukrainian strongholds outside Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk). The enemy also fired 120mm and 82mm mortars near Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol), Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk) and Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol).

As a result of the terrorist attacks, one Ukrainian serviceman was killed, another one was wounded and one soldier more was injured. In addition, two more Ukrainian servicemen were wounded when their vehicle was blown up by an unknown explosive device.
