Poroshenko puts into effect NSDC’s decision on national security bill

The corresponding decree, No.21/2018, was posted on the president’s website.

"To bring into force the decision by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, dated January 17, 2018, on the draft law of Ukraine "On the national security of Ukraine,” reads the document.

As Ukrinform earlier reported, the NSDC on January 17 discussed and approved the bill on Ukraine’s national security.

According to the NSDC’s press service, the bill was developed in cooperation with experts from the NATO and European Union so that to bring the Ukrainian legislative basis in line with the standards of NATO member states. After the Ukrainian parliament approves the document, it should lay the ground for developing and updating the Ukrainian legislation in the field of national security and defense.
