Militants launched five attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched five attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area in Donbas over the past day. 

This is reported by the ATO Headquarters press center.

In Luhansk direction, illegal armed formations used 82mm mortars and weapons on infantry combat vehicles to shell Ukrainian positions near Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk). ATO troops outside Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk) came under small arms fire.

In addition, Russian-backed militants opened fire on the outskirts of Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk). Three 120mm mortars exploded on the territory of this front-line village. According to preliminary information, no civilians were injured.

In Donetsk direction, terrorists shelled Ukrainian strongholds outside Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), using small arms and heavy machine guns. The enemy also violated ceasefire near Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol), using small arms.

Unfortunately, one Ukrainian soldier was killed and another two servicemen were injured.
