Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak said this during the seminar at George C. Marshall European Centre for Security Studies in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, on January 31, the press service of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine reported.
“I would like to underscore the coordinated work of all government bodies of Ukraine in issues related to the defence reform. I have support and understanding in issues related to the defence of Ukraine. Nothing would be achieved without this coordination. I am happy to state it today. Yes, we transform our Defence Ministry in the context of combat operations and it’s difficult and responsible. We test the effectiveness of reforms in eastern Ukraine and I mean planning, logistic, and manning tasks. We have successes and challenges, but much has been achieved,” Poltorak said.
Gen. Poltorak delivered a speech at the first session on achievements and challenges of the defence reform in Ukraine.
