One Ukrainian soldier killed, four wounded in Donbas over past day

One Ukrainian soldier was killed, another four were wounded in hostilities in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone in eastern Ukraine over the past day.
Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Spokesperson for ATO Maksym Prauta said this at a press briefing on Friday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
"Unfortunately, one our defender was killed yesterday in a blast during landmine clearance in Donetsk direction. Two Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in enemy shelling near the population areas of Novozvanivka and Pisky. Another two were wounded while stepping on a mine and an unknown explosive device during landmine clearance,” Motuzianyk said.
According to the spokesperson, the wounded soldiers were immediately taken to military hospitals.
Prauta also added that Russian-backed militants launched nine attacks on the Ukrainian positions over the past day.
