Militants launched four attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

“The enemy violated the ceasefire in ATO area four times over the past day. As a result of the enemy shelling, two Ukrainian soldiers were wounded,” the statement reads.

Despite the agreements reached in Minsk on New Year and Christmas truce, Russian-backed troops continued to violate the ceasefire and launched attacks on the Armed Forces of Ukraine, using prohibited mortars and artillery.

In Donetsk direction, militants shelled Ukrainian strongholds outside Vodiane area (16km north-west of Donetsk), using large-caliber machine guns, grenade launchers and small arms. In the evening, the enemy shelled Ukrainian strongholds outside Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk) and Kamyanka (62km south of Donetsk) from grenade launchers, small arms and infantry weapons.

In other key areas, the ceasefire violations were not recorded.
