Militants launched 16 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

“The enemy violated ceasefire in ATO area 16 times over the past day. As a result of the enemy shelling, one Ukrainian soldier was killed, two servicemen were injured,” the statement reads.

In Luhansk direction, illegal armed formations used mortars of various calibers and grenade launchers to fire at Ukrainian positions near Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk) and Svitlodarsk (55km north-west of Donetsk).

In Donetsk direction, Russian-backed militants launched attacks on Ukrainian strongholds outside Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk), using 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers and machine guns. The illegal armed formations also shelled Ukrainian positions near Kamyanka (62km south of Donetsk), Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk) and Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), using mortars and infantry weapons.
