Militants launched 24 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 24 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in ATO area in Donbas in last day.

This is reported by the ATO Headquarters press center.

“The enemy violated ceasefire in ATO area 24 times over the past day. No casualties in Ukrainian troops were reported,” the statement reads.

In Luhansk direction, Russian-backed militants opened fire from mortars of different calibers on Ukrainian strongholds near Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk), Zaitseve (67km north-north-east of Donetsk) and Novoluhanske (53km north-east of Donetsk). ATO troops near Novotoshkivske (53km north-west of Luhansk) and Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk) came under grenade launcher and small arms fire.

In Donetsk direction, militants used mortars and grenade launchers to fire at the defenders of Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk). The outskirts of Starohnativka (52km south of Donetsk) came under small arms fire. Illegal armed formations also fired mortars and grenade launchers near Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk) and used weapons on infantry combat vehicles and grenade launchers in the area of Bohdanivka (41km south-west of Donetsk).
