Defense minister, UWC president discuss situation in eastern Ukraine

Ukrainian Defense Minister, Army General Stepan Poltorak, and President of the Ukrainian World Congress Eugene Czolij have met in Kyiv, reads a statement posted on the website of the Defense Ministry.
Poltorak informed the foreign delegation about the situation in eastern Ukraine, noting that it is complicated, as the enemy resorts to provocative actions and shelling aimed at discrediting Ukrainian Armed Forces units.
Poltorak thanked the government and the people of Canada for their help and support at all the international level.
"Thank you for the help that has been given to us since 2014, from the beginning of Russian aggression against Ukraine. This concerns the provision of military clothing, financial, technical, political assistance on the world stage, as well as cooperation as part of the implementation of the UNIFIER training mission with the participation of Canadian instructors," he said.
