Militants launched 18 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 18 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in ATO area in Donbas in last day.

This is reported by the ATO press center.

"Over the past day, illegal armed groups violated the ceasefire 18 times, particularly using the weaponry banned by the Minsk agreements. As a result of fighting, no casualties among Ukrainian troops were reported," the statement reads.

In Luhansk direction, illegal armed formations used 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers, antiaircraft mounts and weapons on infantry fighting vehicles to fire at the defenders of Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk). ATO troops outside Novoluhanske (53km north-east of Donetsk) came under small arms fire. In addition, terrorists fired several 82mm mortars near Novotoshkivske (53km north-west of Luhansk). Ukrainian positions near Troitske (69km west of Luhansk) and Novozvanivka (70km west of Luhansk) came under grenade launcher fire, while defenders of  Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk) came under small arms fire.

In Donetsk direction, Russian-backed militants opened fire from grenade launchers near the outskirts of Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk). The enemy used infantry weapons to launch provocative attacks near Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk).

The enemy UAV, banned under the Minsk peace accords, was spotted in the area of villages Zaitseve, Travneve and Hladosove.
