Poltorak, Canadian diaspora coordinate joint actions on peacekeepers in Donbas

Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak has coordinated with President of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress Pavlo Grod joint actions to promote national interests of the country for the deployment of a UN peacekeeping mission in Donbas.

The meeting was held in Vancouver on the margins of the UN Peacekeeping Defence Ministerial conference, the press service of the Defense Ministry reported.

"During a meeting with President of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress Pavlo Grod, we coordinated joint actions on promotion of national interests regarding the deployment of the United Nations peacekeeping mission in Donbas to restore peace and security," General Poltorak said.

As reported, Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak was on a working visit to Canada to participate in the UN Peacekeeping Defence Ministerial conference, which involved 40 defense ministers and delegations from many countries of the world.
