During the meeting, cooperation in the defense and security sector was discussed. The NSDC secretary stressed that despite Russia's hybrid war against Ukraine, the process of strengthening our defense capabilities and reforming the security and defense sector of Ukraine in accordance with the NATO standards was ongoing.
Turchynov has stated the restoration of multilateral military and technical cooperation between Ukraine and the Alliance member countries is among the priorities.
The situation that arose as a result of Russia's hybrid war against our state was also considered. According to Turchynov, in addition to hostilities, Russia is conducting an economic, energy and information- cybernetic aggression against Ukraine. In this context, the parties stressed the need to continue the sanctions pressure on the aggressor country.
During the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of deepening Ukraine-NATO cooperation in the military and technical, scientific and cybersecurity spheres.
