Militants launched 16 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 16 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in ATO area in Donbas in last day.

This is reported by the ATO press center.

"Over the past day, illegal armed groups violated the ceasefire 16 times. The Ukrainian Armed Forces opened fire on the enemy 13 times. As a result of the fighting, one Ukrainian soldier was wounded," the statement reads.

In Donetsk direction, Russian-backed militants used different types of grenade launchers and small arms guns to fire at Ukrainian strongholds near Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk), Kamyanka (62km south of Donetsk) and Butovka coal mine (11.4km north-west of Donetsk). ATO troops also came under heavy machine gun fire outside Zaitseve (67km north-north-east of Donetsk) and Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk).

In Mariupol direction, the enemy used grenade launchers and heavy machine guns to shell positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol).

In Luhansk direction, illegal armed formations opened fire from grenade launchers and heavy machine guns on the defenders of Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk).
