Militants launched 20 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 20 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in ATO area in Donbas in last day.

This is reported by the ATO press center.

"Over the past day, illegal armed groups violated the ceasefire 20 times. The Ukrainian Armed Forces opened fire on the enemy 16 times. As a result of the fighting, one Ukrainian soldier sustained an injury," the statement reads.

In Mariupol direction, illegal armed formations used 82mm mortars, anti-tank grenade launchers and small arms to shell the defenders of Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol). ATO troops also came under 82mm mortar fire near Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk) and Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol).

In Donetsk direction, Russian-backed militants opened fire from heavy machine guns and small arms on Ukrainian positions in the industrial area of Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk). A Ukrainian soldier sustained an injury in grenade launcher shelling near Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk).

In Luhansk direction, terrorists launched attacks on Ukrainian strongholds outside Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk), using grenade launchers and small arms.
