Rehabilitation of wounded Ukrainian soldiers, who took part in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine, is one of the most urgent problematic issues for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Chief of the General Staff, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Army General Viktor Muzhenko said this in an exclusive interview with Ukrinform.

"Rehabilitation of those wounded in the anti-terrorist operation is a very important issue for Ukraine. The unbreakable spirit and invincible will they [wounded Ukrainian soldiers who participated in the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington D.C.] have demonstrated today is the example for the rest of the veterans and the leadership to draw organizational conclusions on the establishment of appropriate institutions for rehabilitation of veterans," Muzhenko said.

He stressed that the Ukrainian military leadership was studying the best rehabilitation practices of the United States, the UK, Germany, the Baltic States, and Georgia. "We gain a positive experience and we have already launched certain processes related to rehabilitation of military personnel," the Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief said.
