Domestic military–industrial complex meets all basic needs of Ukrainian security forces – NSDC Secretary Turchynov

Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council Oleksandr Turchynov said this, speaking at the official opening ceremony of the XIV International Specialized Exhibition "Arms and Security 2017", an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Ukraine has been suffering from Russia's aggression for the fourth year in a row. During all this time, we need to rely, first of all, on our own forces. The Ukrainian military–industrial complex meets all the basic needs of our army, the National Guard, the Security Service, border guards, the National Police and other security structures," Turchynov noted.

 According to him, production of weapons and military equipment is not just a significant and important segment of the Ukrainian economy but the protection of freedom and independence as well.
