Militants launched 23 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

In Donetsk direction, militants used grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms to fire at Ukrainian strongholds near the industrial area of Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk). In addition, ATO troops came under enemy fire near Mayorske (45km north of Donetsk), Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk) and Nevelske (18km north-west of Donetsk). The illegal armed formations shelled Ukrainian positions outside Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk), using 120mm mortars and weapons on infantry fighting vehicles.

In Luhansk direction, Russian-backed militants used grenade launchers to fire at Ukrainian strongholds on the outskirts of Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk) and mortars to shell ATO troops near Novozvanivka (70km west of Luhansk).

In Mariupol direction, ATO troops came under enemy fire outside Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk).
