NSDC approves Concept of ensuring counterintelligence regime in Ukraine

The National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) at its meeting on Wednesday, September 13, considered and approved the Concept of ensuring counterintelligence regime in Ukraine.

NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov stated this following the meeting, the NSDC press service reports.

“The Concept of ensuring counterintelligence regime in Ukraine and the Concept of reforming and further development of the state management system in a state of emergency and a special period were considered and approved at the NSDC meeting,” reads the reports.

Turchynov stressed that taking into account the current security situation, the priorities for Ukraine will include “implementation of the state policy in the cybersecurity sphere, implementation of measures for the development and modernization of special communication and information security; implementation of the National Intelligence Program for 2016-2020; strengthening of counterintelligence protection and countering terrorism and subversive activities”.
