SBU: 410 people gone missing in eastern Ukraine

A total of 410 people have gone missing on the territory of conduct of the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine.

Yuri Kachanov, the head of the joint coordination center for search and release of captives and hostages and search for people gone missing in the area of conduct of the anti-terrorist operation under the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), said this during a roundtable meeting at the Ukrinform news agency.

"As of today, 144 people are held captive. A total of 410 persons have gone missing," Kachanov reported.

He also said that 3,138 people, including military, journalists and others, had been found and released with the assistance of the joint coordination center since April 7, 2014.
