Ukraine initiates video conference of Trilateral Contact Group due to ceasefire violation
Ukrinform
The Ukrainian party of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) has offered to hold a video conference of the group on August 31 because of ceasefire violations from the side of Russian-backed militants.
Darka Olifer, press secretary of Ukrainian representative in the group, former Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma, wrote this on her Facebook page.
She added that the skype conference is necessary because separate areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions do not observe the ceasefire regime. Also, according to her, the conference is needed so that to ensure full access for OSCE SMM observers to the entire territory of Donbas, including the Ukrainian-Russian border.
As Ukrinform earlier reported, the TCG at a meeting on August 23 agreed on a ceasefire in Donbas from August 25 due to the start of a new school year.
