Alexander Hug: More crossing points in Luhansk region should be opened

Principal Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine Alexander Hug says it is necessary to open additional crossing points at the contact line in Luhansk region, eastern Ukraine.

This has been posted on the OSCE SMM Twitter account.

"Sides need to open more crossing points in Luhansk region for the sake of civilians who cross contact line every day," the statement reads.

The OSCE SMM notes that the mission’s patrol has just crossed the bridge in Stanytsia Luhanska, adding it is still the only crossing point in Luhansk region and the bridge is severely damaged.
